Tools for the Harvest

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'” Romans 10:14-15

Here are some resources I was given for deliverance ministry:

  • Healing:

    • Expect the miracle, declare in your heart that it will happen before you even begin praying (Mark 11:24)
    • Don’t fight the Holy Spirit, turn your natural brain off and think of nothing as you pray (Romans 8:7)
    • Use the authority given to you as a Christian and command the miracle (Matt. 10:1, Phil 2:10, Matt. 8:8-10)
    • Listen to the Holy Spirit
    • Activate the person’s own faith by having them test out area that needed healing (but don’t force person to do something they don’t want to)
    • Repeat until healing occurs, it is ok to pray multiple times over person (Matt. 8:24)

  • Repentance and Salvation:

    • Have the person repent of any major sins they can think of, and have them be baptized same day if possible (Acts 2:37-39)
    • Have the person confess, “Jesus I believe in my heart that you lived, died, and rose again for my sins, please forgive me, come into my life and take over” (Romans 10:9-10)
    • Pray for them to be baptized in the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:2)
    • Encourage them to join a Spirit-filled church right away (Hebrews 10:25, Ephesians 4:11)
    • Teach the importance of having a relationship with God through prayer and reading of the Bible (Luke 10:27, John 15, Mark 1:35, Joshua 1, Psalms 1)
    • Get them to start praying for others! (Mark 16:15-20, Matthew 10:1)
  • Holy Spirit Baptism:

    • It is a gift from God to help guide our walk and understanding of scripture, as well as to intercede in our lives and lives of others (Acts 2:38)
    • Have the person say with expectancy, “Jesus baptize me with your Holy Spirit and fire, and the gift of tongues” or “Jesus I’m precious to you” (have a person stand behind person you’re praying for to catch them in case they fall back)
    • Ask the Holy Spirit to fill them and put your hand on their heart, forehead or belly (with permission), and pray over them (Acts 8:18, John 7:38)
    • Listen to what Holy Spirit is telling you as you pray
    • Teach them to ask the Holy Spirit when they come across scripture they don’t understand or regarding life situations, get them involved with the Holy Spirit through worship, singing and praying in tongues!
